July May Be An Exciting Month After All!
If rumors serve it right, we gonna witness two new variants of the Nikon DSLR, one which has been hush hush to come with an all-new AF engine in 6 weeks time. And I have been handicapped to shoot single-handedly with one body for the last three months. Seriously, I want a less serious or seriously more serious variant of my D300s. It can go either way. But they have to get up that earlier to...

Warning on Use of Standard LR6 AA...
It must be one of those love and hate relationship. For the love of AA batteries, they push the D300s frame rate to 7.7fps (still not 8fps unless you shoot with the EN-EL4 on MB-D10). For the hate of it, they drain faster than you can say “shoot” and recharges back to her usable state only after a seriously long while. Not suitable for any real world application in my opinion. I...

Nikon D300s Problem with AA Batteries
Have you guys been shooting your D300s with a MB-D10 packed with AAs? And when the battery goes on the D300s, the camera simply shuts down, while refusing to automatically switch to the Eight AA batteries on the battery grip! I have to physically remove the EN-EL3e within the D300s before I can resume my shoot with juice from the grip! What a chore! Surprisingly, this symptom does not happen if...

Pre-shoot Warning!
It must be one of those days when I shoot carelessly without visually checking my camera prior to an actual shoot. And as I found out after the shoot today, my Auto-ISO was off and fixed at 200! Help!! I am Stuck with the Nikkor 24-70mm F/2.8G N
In my evolving style of shooting (except wildlife), the 36-105mm is just a range that I am beginning to love these days, and I think I am gradually slipping into this slot very comfortably, especially when I now own a glass with that reach. On contrary to folks who claimed her irrelevance coverage on a DX sensor, I speak on contrary in this matter as well. The recent shots were ALL taken within...

Fashion Photography Anyone?
Being bored and seeing myself with a helping heart, well, I extended my shoot circle to now include fashion. It’s not exactly what I normally shoot, but it sure is fine with me. As far as I know, fashion photography is a very close-loop affair, with most budding fashion photographers scraping by and wondering why they are not getting anywhere in this area. It’s a very niched market...
