Let’s get real. The gears thats with me did their job, and did it rather well. But to say that the Nikon FT-1 coupled with the Nikkor 24-70mm somewhat failed to thoroughly impress me, you can say its a mixed bag of nuts. Perhaps, it was a biased comparison with the D700 but I would also conclude that the time and scenario to shoot with it was very limited.

The Nikon 1 worked seamlessly with the Nikon 1 10mm, and best suited to stay that way. My advice is - shoot with Nikon 1 lenses on Nikon 1 bodies if you can and stay clear of FX glasses.
